Our 57th Wedding Anniversary
To-day September 07, 2013, Amma and I have completed 57 years together. We have had many, many highs, a few - very few indeed - lows too. On the whole, it has been an enjoyable life for both of us. I must say that the greatest contributions towards this were from our children and grand children. It has been an unique experience and we cherish this.
I notice the suggestion of a Dubai visit. I want to be frank on this. While I do not like to be a spoil-sport, I want it to be noted that, I am on a very very rigid discipline, in order that I may not give any more surprises to the family. The trouble I face in out-of-home engagements is that my rythm gets disturbed, leading to discomfort. I do try to put up with it, even then it takes several days to get back to normalcy. Going to my children and staying for a period peps me up. My food, sleep, reading and other activities are so well regimented that will not be good to change it.
So, my preference is to spend time with our children, in whatever manner possible. I wish I had my old health and the lively spirits, but then at 84 plus, wishes cannot be horses.
Blessings to all of you.
