Mata Amrutananda Mayi
I have not had the good fortune to have her Darshan, but have total faith in her spirituality, which is of a very very high order. As one who has listened to many of her 'ex tempore' dialogues with her devotees, broadcast on TV, I have wondered how and wherefrom she has acquired so much knowledge of this World and the Universe beyond. And, the easy way she presents the most complicated philosophical riddles - and there are many in the Indian faith - she would remind one of Sri Ramakrishna, who gave the easiest and simplest analogies to bring home complicated points. Also, the Mother's love for humanity is to be seen to be believed.
Here is a woman from the lowest rung of society - I think she was born into a fisherman community - with hardly any education, darkest in complexion, yet what a radiance one sees in her full-moon face ! And her broad smile, it wins hearts, it cures miseries, it gives faith. And, I hear, she has NEVER EVER asked for any financial support for any of her causes from any one. And yet, she has established gigantic institutions like hospitals, Colleges, Universities. She commands, not demand. How has this been possible?
Think, deeply, all of you, especially those who want to talk ill of her or her movement. It does you no good. She and her mission will go on and on.
