Ratan Tata tweets his support for the Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh
Dear Sir,
As usual, the gentleman industrialist is out-spoken, however unconvincing.
No one doubts Man Mohan Singh, the man. Simple, kind-hearted, unoffensive
and chivalrous. The Gods in heaven love such people.
The media and the Indian people criticise not him as a person but, his total
indifference to do anything that will alleviate the nation's miseries.
He will need to act boldly and, the people of this nation hope he will.
As for Ratan Tata's tweet, I am reminded of Alphonso Gardner, the legendry
editor of Manchester Guardian. When he was asked to retract his statement
by British Parliament that 'half the members were rascals', he promptly regretted
and wrote:'...half our MPs are not rascals'.
